• A fantastic away win at Murrayfield means that TBGC Ladies have qualified for the Kyocera/Annodata Matchplay Golf Finals to be held at Barcelo Montecastillo Golf Resort in Spain next March. A photo of all that played at least one match is below. TBGC will be competing against teams from Northamptonshire County GC, Bude & North Cornwall GC and Dartford GC. WELL DONE Team Bradford
  • The Rabbits Section have arranged two exciting new Triangular Competitions for 2025 – one with Harrogate Oakdale and Sand Moor and one with Headingley and Horsforth.
  • The Clubhouse Rendering is now complete with only some minor painting to be done. The contractor will be back to complete the proshop and new Swing Studio when the building is complete.
  • The Swing Studio build is now taking shape. So far so good.
  • The Seniors held their end of season meal and competition this week, winners of the 4BBB were Joe Napoli and Pat Mcgrath with 47 points.
  • The Ladies Section had a fabulous time celebrating another fantastic season at their annual dinner & prize presentation night – trophy winners and quiz winners danced the night away to the tunes of top DJ Becky K and her amazing disco light ball!
  • The BGC top male and female members of the year (aggregate of the best four score differentials in the season) qualify to enter an area final in The Race to Woodhall Spa competition each year. Huge congratulations to the 2024 winners, Andrew John Thompson and Anne Lawton.
  • The Gents Annual Dinner was a huge success. Thanks to all who attended and of course to the organisers. Our guest speaker, Peter Beardsley, was also entertaining.

Sustainable Golf

The TBGC have now committed to follow a sustainable golf strategy, in line with England Golf Environment, Social and Economic principles.  This strategy will take a number of years to fully implement and England Golf will be supporting us throughout this process.  A recently set-up committee will now drive this through. They will be sharing the strategy, progress and plans, with the membership in January 2025.
